The new sports site has a total surface of 300 m2, including the terraces, and is located in front of Ponent Beach. This new base intends to offer new nautical services in the Ponent Beach in a public way and, in turn, seeks to boost nautical sports in Salou.
The structure of the Base has a pair of changing rooms of 13.73m2 each, two toilet services of 5.38m2, a warehouse module of 55.27m2, as well as an information area and a sailing classroom.
During the opening ceremony, the Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, stated that "this base is necessary to increase the quality and the municipal service for professionals and fans of the world of water sports, and to make Salou live facing the Sea and not behind their backs".

The construction project of the nautical station has been fully financed with municipal funds, with a total investment of 305,000 euros, made by concession by the company Garcia Riera.
