The Local Police renews eight speed bumps in schools

Salou. Costa Dorada. 22 February 2018. Road safety in the environment of educational centers is one of the municipal concerns. This is shown by the improvement that has begun around the speed bumps that are intended to dissuade drivers from speeding. Eight of these projections in the streets Barcelona, ​​Ciutat de Reus, Advocat Gallego and Passeig 30 de Octubre, are being replaced in the areas next to the schools.

The improvement will consist of the replacement of the double buoys, for wider individual ones. This will achieve, not only greater security, but also a considerable reduction in sound when vehicles pass over them.

The Councilor for Mobility and Public Safety, David González, believes that it is "a plan to improve road safety infrastructures to improve safety in educational environments, as well as in various places in the municipality." González added that "with the replacement of these speed reduction steps, safety is increased and noise is reduced".
