The Maritime Fair of the Costa Daurada de Cambrils expects 15,000 attendees

Salou. Costa Dorada. 27 April 2018. The organization of the Maritime Fair of the Costa Daurada, which will be held in Cambrils from May 17 to 20, expects more than 15,000 people to attend. Organized by the Club Náutico de Cambrils by delegation of the City Council of the town, this exhibition is already considered a benchmark in nautical throughout Catalonia. It reaches the eleventh edition this year, and the mayor of Cambrils, Camí Mendoza, accompanied by the councilors of Economic Promotion and Tourism, the president of the Nautical Club, Ramon Vallverdú, and the club manager, presented the program of activities.

The mayor of Cambrils, Camino Mendoza said that, in addition to promoting a strategic and differential sector of Cambrils, the fair is an opportunity to open the doors of the sea around the world and popularize nautical activities. Next, the Councilor for Economic Promotion has highlighted the sum of efforts to strengthen the position of Cambrils and turn the fair into a reference for both the final public and the nautical industry.

For its part, the Councilor for Tourism has ensured that the fair is a tourist product with great potential and explained that this year a group of instagramers will participate in a day Instawalk and show their vision of Cambrils from the sea in a photographic exhibition inside from the same Maritime Fair.

The president of the Nautical Club of Cambrils explained that "the Maritime Fair wants to bring the nautical world closer to the world" and that is why the Nautical Club "organizes many activities and from different areas, from the most specific to those people who have from a boat to initiation and experimentation activities so that, from the smallest to the largest, they can discover a new passion or a new hobby related to the sea. "

Finally, the manager of the Yacht Club has announced some novelties such as a drawing contest for schools, the incorporation of electric scooters or the talk of two sailors who will share their experiences.

Last year, more than 15,000 visitors passed through the Fair, a space of 18,000 square meters in the Paseo Marítimo de Cambrils. In this edition it is foreseen that the influx of people will equal or even be overcome.

Activities for the whole family

The program of this edition has more than 30 activities that will be held throughout the 4 days that the Fair will last with the presence of a wide range of exhibitors and activities. Among them, nautical activities stand out, which are always a demand for public of all ages. Examples are the traditional baptisms of scuba diving, rowing or cruises, exits with jet skis, tourist cruises or catamaran trips. In this edition the assistants will also be able to enjoy one of the future novelties in our beaches, the electric pedal boats, a new modality of sea scooters.

The MARITIME FAIR of the COSTA DAURADA wants to highlight the participation of all segments of the sector, with different spaces in which the visitor can find everything from purchase of boats to charter companies, maintenance of boats and specific products, electronics, painting, naval carpentry, candles, sale of accessories, nautical clothes, fishing, nautical academy, water sports and activities and even gastronomy.

In this edition also highlights the talk offered by sailors of the Club Náutico de Cambrils, Guillermo Cañardo and Marc Miró, about the Mini Transat La Boulange regatta that led them at the end of last year to cross the Atlantic alone. It will be on the 19th at 17.15 in the Club Nàutic Cambrils social lounge. Also worth mentioning is the Iger exhibition, which can also be seen during the days of the Fair in the same space.
