Travel agents from all over Spain lived a weekend at the Costa Daurada "style"

Salou. Costa Dorada. 22 May 2018. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has welcomed a hundred travel agents from different parts of Spain, who will enjoy this weekend of the Costa Dorada. The one that has been baptized like "Costa Dorada Life" is a program that tries to promote the tourist zone and that is impelled not only by the one of Salou, but also by the Tourist Patronages of the Delegation and the Business Federation of Hospitality and Tourism from the province of Tarragona.

Among the experiences that professionals of the tourism sector who visit us will experience are activities of leisure, culture, gastronomy and landscape. The main objective of the program was for "travel agents to know the Costa Daurada, but above all, to live the destination and then be able to prescribe their clients," says Eduard Farriol, president of the FEHT.

The Costa Daurada Life began on Friday May 18 with a reception and welcome to the participants in La Pineda. At night, the Club Náutico de Salou was the stage that hosted the welcome dinner, chaired by the Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados and the vice president of the Tourist Board of the Diputación de Tarragona, Imma Costa.

During the dinner the mayor remarked that Salou "as the tourist capital of the Costa Daurada is positioned as a preferential destination in the Spanish market for its great potential and that the leisure facilities, services and holiday experience we offer together with the Costa Daurada , is one of those that best respond to the motivations, demands and expectations of the country's customers. "

The mayor added that "Salou and the Costa Daurada have a wide and diversified offer, such as the extensive beaches and small coves, but also the theme park PortAventura, three golf courses, a sports complex for playing football, and we are at the gates of building an integrated tourist complex by the hand of Hard Rock ".

He also added that "Salou generates great dynamism and has a great capacity to regenerate, consolidate and modernize its destiny, and that is why we are working on new challenges and projects incorporating new specializations related to sport, physical exercise and health, which will help us to turn Salou into a year-round destination, thus breaking seasonality. "

The evening was enlivened by the live music of Urban Deep Sound. After dinner, the travel agents were able to experience some of the first experiences, such as the light, water, sound and color show of the cybernetic fountains on Paseo Jaume I in Salou and a correfoc, by the Devils Maleïts de Salou .

On Sunday, the travel agents took a tour of Salou, and when they finished they were able to board a boat that took them to Cap Salou. During the rest of the weekend they carried out other activities and visits.
