Gastro Wine & Music: the new gastronomic bet of the capital of the Costa Dorada

A place as emblematic and distinctive of Salou as the Torre Vella will host on September 15, starting at 8 p.m., the new gastronomic commitment of the capital of the Costa Dorada. This is Gastro Wine & Music, an exclusive proposal that will offer haute cuisine tapas made by 12 leading Salou restaurants, washed down with the best wines and cavas from 22 wineries in the territory, and accompanied by good music and the magic of House of Illusion .

For 45 euros per person, lovers of unique gastronomic experiences such as Gastro Wine & Music can taste three quality snacks in the first part of the planned program: they are smoked salmon, oysters that will be opened “in situ” and cut Iberian ham at the moment. Next, 12 tapas, all prepared before the attendees and 2 desserts, will be offered. All well watered with wine glasses of various denominations of origin, and also the cava will be slaughtered live and direct. For the neophytes in the matter, the disgorgement consists in opening the bottle of cava so that dead yeasts that have made the fermentation of the sparkling wine come out under pressure. This is the last phase of the cava production process before its commercialization.

The third part of Gastro Wine & Music will allow you to enjoy an acrobatic cocktail show with Royal Bliss Club and, between one tasting and another, live music will allow you to enjoy a great evening.

In total, the restaurants of Salou Boquet, Castillo de Javier, Cook & Travel, Deliranto, Elektra, El Totxo, Lunattic, Le Sommelier, La Ibense, Mesón del Segoviano, House of Illusion, Rock & Grill, Bufacaldos Restaurant, while participating Wineries are Miquel Pons (DO CAVA), Estones, Cellers Terra i Vins, Loxarel, Vins Padró, Torelló, Acústic Celler, Clos Galena, De Muller, Altavins Viticultors, Celler Cairats, Celler Pascona, Etim, Vinyes del Terrer, Rosa M. Torres, Celler Clua, Vinyes Domènech, Caves Oriol Rossell, Mas La Mola, Molí dels Capellans, Titiana and Portal del Montsant.

The activity is reserved for 300 people who can purchase the tickets at the Salou Town Hall, at the participating restaurants or at the Tarragona headquarters of the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of the province (Rambla Nova, 114).

This select gastronomic proposal comes to replace the Wine & Music that since 2016 was organized by the City of Salou, now renovated with this new format and with the joint work carried out between the Consistory and the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of Salou (AEH).

For this reason, in the presentation of Gastro Wine & Music, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has defined as “successful and successful” the line of collaboration between the City Council and the hospitality sector of the municipality. In addition, Granados has especially highlighted the great change Salou has made in recent years in terms of excellence in the catering sector, so that the mayor has predicted that “Salou will become a gastronomic reference of the Costa Dorada to international level ”and has encouraged restaurateurs to show off their ability to also attract gastronomic tourism.

During the presentation of the Gastro Wine & Music, the Councilor for Promotion and Economic and Business Promotion, Trade, Markets and Consumer Affairs of Salou, Héctor Maiquez; and the president of the Association of Hospitality Entrepreneurs of the municipality (AEH), Josep Moreno.
