La Costa Dorada cuenta con el espacio del Río Gaià, que se incluye en la Red Natura y es una Zona de Especial Protección para las Aves (ZEPA) y una Zona Especial de Conservación (ZEC) para el resto de especies y hábitats. Repsol tiene propiedades en el centro de este espacio y destina casi 100.000 euros a la mejora de la biodiversidad.
