The Cyber Source renews its show of water, light and music
The Cybernetic Fountain of Salou, one of the main attractions of the capital of the Costa Dorada, has just opened a renewed and surprising spectacle of water, light and music games, in the middle of the Jaume I promenade. Every day you can contemplate 22h until September 11 with a duration of 15 minutes. Before and after, at 9pm and 11pm, you can enjoy a 3-minute demonstration.

Salou opens a viewpoint on Capellans beach

Salou invests 800,000 euros to improve the Municipal Stadium

Plan to improve the showers of Poniente beach
The City Council of Salou will improve five of the eleven showers that currently exist on Poniente beach. For this purpose, it will allocate 105,000 euros that will be allocated to the improvement and renewal of the platforms. The problem that affects these structures is usually the accumulation of sand, which forms dunes that prevent the water from leaving.

They install the plaque that records the twinning of Salou with Calvià
The mayors of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez, and Pere Granados, from Salou, unveiled a commemorative plaque that "certifies" the twinning of the two municipalities and which has been installed at the entrance of the capital of the Costa Daurada. The roundabout that connects Camí de Cavet and Carrer Ciutat de Reus is the place chosen to show the panel with the name of the two cities, showing this "friendship".
"Pedagogy" campaign on the cost of cleaning dog poop in the municipality
Do not pick up a dog excrement from the street or a park, it means a cost for the municipality of 8.58 euros. This data, simple, gives an account of the cost that represents for Salou the cleaning of the poop of these pets. Now, the council aims to raise awareness among the owners of the dogs informing them of this expense that arises from the municipal coffers, with the intention that they withdraw from the road by their owners.

The tourist balance of the first half of 2018 on the Costa Daurada has been positive, as the sector has experienced a two per cent increase in the number of overnight stays. The figures affect especially the municipalities of Cambrils, Salou and the nucleus of La Pineda, belonging to Vila-seca.

20,000 athletes will participate in a full Semana Santa of competitions
The Costa Dorada will be filled with sports events during the days of Holy Week, which is expected to involve some 20,000 athletes from both the national territory and from outside our borders.
