L'alcalde de Salou per CiU, Pere Granados, ha renovat la confiança dels veïns del municipi en les eleccions municipals del 24 de maig de 2015 i tornarà a presidir l'Ajuntament durant quatre anys més. A més, Granados ha aconseguit augmentar el nombre de regidors, que ha passat de 7 a 8. Malgrat aquests bons resultats, l'alcalde de Salou haurà de buscar suports per a constituir un govern estable.
