L'Albiol
The Ermitage of Abellera

This route runs along the natural landscape of the mountains of Prades and climbs to a magnificent viewpoint over the head of the lush river valley Brugent, crowned by the chapel of Abellera, built in the fifteenth century in a cave . The starting point of the route is the square of Prades, spherical source with its curious renaissance. To get there from Reus take the road C-14 towards Montblanc. At the height of Alcover must turn left to head the TV-7041 in Mont-ral and Capafonts. Then we turn right to the T-704 to Prades. Should leave the town square by passing the old porches and doorways of the wall next to the church to the east, leaving the left temple. Leave the square of San Roc, crossed the road. Then have to turn right and then left, leaving the square the streets of the cavalry at the beginning of which there are signs indicating the route of St. Jaume and the Albiol Reus. Continue along Calle de Pablo Picasso and empties into the path of Abellera. Following the path, it borders the shrine of San Antonio and, somewhat later, having left behind a raft and abandoned laundry must continue on the dirt track that is right. Ignore the path to the left leads to some fields. Be followed by a trail of red rocks and is marked with some white and yellow markings. When you take a 25 min journey, the trail reaches a cemented road that leads to the coll of San Roc, where the tiny chapel of the same name, and gently down to a yard that is next to the chapel Our Lady of the Abellera. 10 minutes after you get to the shrine, turning left after a planned parking yard. The church is surrounded by a stone balustrade and access to the enclosure for a door there at the entrance of the cave. To return simply undo the road.  Landmarks The coll and the hermitage of San Roque The doors of the wall Chapel of Our Lady of Abellera Ermita de San Antonio The square and fountain Renaissance Church of Santa Maria Counties: Baix Camp Distance: 4.0 km Climb Slope: 100.0 m Descent Altitude: 100.0 m Signage: Yes Duration: 1 hr 10 min Topics: Nature | Culture   Criteria of usage of these routes   See restaurants here See hotels here Source: Government of Catalonia.
