A different way to get to know Salou and its main places of interest is the tourist train. It offers a single route that allows you to discover the most beautiful and emblematic corners, such as the Monument to Jaume I, the Ornamental Fountains, the Capitania, the Modernist Houses, the Monument al Pescador, the beginning of the Camino de Ronda or the Coast, the Masía Catalana , the City Park, the Torre Vella, the church of Santa María del Mar, from the 18th century. In addition, the train goes to PortAventura World. Prices and schedules are as indicated below for 2026.
  
The tour can start at any of the marked stops, and you can go all the way around until you reach the stop where you got off. The tour passes through some of the points of interest mentioned. Consult the route and timetables at the end.

Prices:

The prices of the Salou tourist train for 2026 are as follows:
  • Adults (+12 years to 65 years): 6 euros
  • Children (4 to 12 years): 4 euros
  • Senior (+65 years): 4 euros
  • People with disabilities (+ 33%, presenting certificate): 4 euros. No electric scooters
  • Groups of people with disabilities: 2.5 euros per person. Every 10 people with disabilities, 1 free monitor
  • Family ticket (2 adults and 1 child): 15 euros. Each extra child is 3 euros more.

The tourist train offers personalized audio guides for adults and children, available in 5 languages: Catalan, Spanish, English, French and Russian.

All tickets can be purchased directly on the tourist train (No card payments at the momen). You CANNOT get on and off the tourist train with the same ticket.

The train has adapted ramps and space for wheelchairs (depending on availability). Baby or small child strollers must be folded and left in the basket provided for this purpose.

Schedules:

The Salou tourist train changes its schedules depending on the time of year. The detailed table of the schedules can be consulted in the attached image, as well as a map of the route.

The prevailing schedule is always that of the stop, but it may vary. If you have questions, you can call 977 35 01 02 to confirm the schedules.

A spectacular tour:

The two lines L1 (red) and L1 Bis (yellow) of the tourist train stop at:

  • Plaza Europa (next to the Tourist Office)
  • Torre Vella
  • Venus (at the end of Paseo Miramar, next to Cambrils)
  • Port (on Paseo Jaume I, in front of the Cybernetic Fountain)
  • Jaume I (on the promenade of the same name, in front of the King Jaume I sculpture)
  • Parc de Salou (in the city's municipal park)

For its part, the L2 line (blue), which goes towards Cap Salou and the Lighthouse, has the following stops:

  • Plaza Europa
  • Replanells
  • Ginesta
  • Parc de Salou

This route allows you to learn more about:

  • Masía Catalana, a construction originally conceived in 1974 and which today hosts, among others, the craft market during the summer months
  • the City Park, a natural space.
  • the majesty of the Modernist houses on Passeig Jaume I
  • the church of Santa María del Mar, which dates back to the 18th century
  • the Captaincy building (1820), one of the main buildings of the Port of Salou. 
  • the Monument al Pescador - the work of Ramon Ferran 
  • the Ornamental Fountains, an authentic spectacle of water, light and color
  • the Monument al Rei Jaume I, a tribute to the Catalan monarch who set sail from Salou in the 13th century towards the conquest of Mallorca. 
  • The train runs parallel to the Coastal Path (Camí de Costa) and reaches Cap Salou and the Lighthouse (Far) 
  • includes the 15th century Torre Vella on the route
