The core of the first singers from the San Ignacio Coral, a subsidiary of Donostiarra Choral, chorus until December 1996 was led by Jesus M. Unanue, director of Hondora. Its components, which come from various localities of Guipuzcoa, have extensive choral experience, both as singers, conductors, soloists or in different groupings. This is a choir with a particular dynamic of work, sometimes influenced by commitments from each of the singers with the respective groups, but united with a common goal: the taste for singing and complacency by the music. In this regard, both as motivation to match the quality Hondora, adapting programs to interpret the frames and the places where it acts, while respecting the historical and artistic contexts in which each part of the proceedings. The result of this philosophy and the good of the choir, Hondora has been invited to participate in prestigious festivals like the Musical Fortnight of San Sebastian (1997, 1998, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2008), Music Week and Sacred Polyphony Segovia ( 1997), Music Festivals Nájera (2001), Ciclo de Música Barroca "Barroko Air Ordizia (2004), Guipuzcoa, meeting Coral International Torrevieja, Alicante (2005), International Music Festival Camino de Santiago (2005), Ciclo de Música Sacra Hondarribia (2007), among others. The repertoire is wide and varied, with different styles and eras, but specializes in the interpretation of religious music. In this sense, is tilted towards the interpretation of those authors or compositions which, by its complexity, less programmed in concerts of choral music, such as M. Cardoso, V. Goicoechea, H. Howells, C. Monteverdi, N. Gombert, or MACharpentier. Jesus M. Munduate Unanue, director Born in 1967 in San Sebastian, made his musical studies at the Conservatory of Music of this city. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Deusto. He has conducted numerous courses in Choral, notably ones by Javier Busto, Pierre Cao, John Poole, Carl Hogset and Eric Ericsson. Two people have been influenced in a decisive criterion coral: P. Garayoa Paul, SJ, founder of Coral San Ignacio, where he became a treble at 5 years, and Jose Antonio Sainz Alfaro, current director of the Choral Donostiarra.
