Salou. Costa Dorada. The Department of Social Action, Immigration and Women, has made a series of events and activities planned around the International Day against violence towards women, which is celebrated next Wednesday 25 November 2009. The main event will consist of 25 day reading the manifesto, which will be attended by the Mayor, Pedro Granados, councilor of Social Action, Immigration and Women, Ms. Ana Narbonne will address jointly by women of different ages. The event will be accompanied by the interpretation of musical pieces by some teachers of the Municipal School of Music. After reading the manifesto is scheduled to make a presentation of the Information and Advice to Women's City (SIAD), which will become operational shortly. Then a workshop will be organized on knowledge of the antenna URV in partnership with the Catalan Institute for Women. In addition to these events around this date from the Department have organized several workshops aimed at primary and secondary schools of the municipality on the "eradication of sexist stereotypes." During the month of November has also made the screening of the Documentary 'Glances unveiled' Alba Sotorra organized by the Campus External Antenna Knowledge of Salou. And on December, 2 the same entity organizing the exhibition, Points of Reflection: the Violence Against Women. All events will be held at Auditorium Theater Facilities Salou and the Civic Center. The City of Salou years ago has joined the Catalan public institutions, the Government of the Generalitat, the regional councils and other councils of Catalonia, in commemoration of International Day against violence towards women.
