Salou. Costa Dorada. 16 February 2025. The
Costa Daurada is one of the five
candidates for Best Beach Destination in Spain among which readers of
Viajes National Geographic can vote.
Voting can be done through the magazine's website
until February 21, 2025. The winning destination will be announced in the printed magazine on April 22.
Regarding the Costa Daurada, the magazine highlights the
variety of beaches that run for miles from the Foix River to the mouth of the Ebro, practically without interruption. In some cases they are
urban beaches (such as Ponent and Llevant in
Salou) and in other cases they are
small, almost secret coves. Beaches with
dunes, with
pine trees (such as Llarga beach in Salou), or protected by
rocky walls, but almost
always with fine, golden sand bathed by a
blue or turquoise Mediterranean.
With these readers' awards, Viajes National Geographic wants to highlight the destinations and establishments that share its values such as
innovation, sustainability at all levels and a commitment to
authenticity.
With 1.2 million monthly readers,
Viajes National Geographic is the most widely read travel magazine in Spain, so these awards represent a prestigious distinction for the tourism sector. In total, 16 categories can be voted on, in each of which 5 destinations or establishments compete.
