Tarragona renews its image in the world

Tarragona. Costa Dorada. Tarragona has a new corporate image to present to the world. This Thursday unveiled the new corporate image of Tourism Tarragona, in a move that has benefited from the presence of Sergio de los Rios, head of tourism, and Mayor Josep Felix Ballesteros. In addition, during the presentation of private sector members stressed the importance of the new image and the step forward represented. The new company logo is Symbolic, who won a competition in which 42 proposals were submitted. According to the company, the new corporate image Tarragona tourist wants to convey three key concepts of the city: the Roman heritage, festivals and opening to the Mediterranean. The element that perfectly sums up these three values is the amphitheater in Tarragona. It is for this reason that the logo symbolizes the steps of the amphitheater and the waves of the Mediterranean Sea, or as stated in the press conference, the port or the borders of the Seraglio of the shield of the city. Sergio de los Rios has sought to underscore that this is a step in the transformation of the mode of promoting the city in the world and an example of the work done during two years in tourism in the city. Similarly there has been the representative of the campsites, Joan Lluís Anton, who said that the logo shows a firm commitment by the City to make tourism a reference. Carlos Segarra, the union of hoteliers said that the logo was more than necessary and has urged all sectors must continue to work. The city's mayor, Josep Felix Ballesteros, recalled that the previous logo has done its job for 18 years, but needed to evolve and design a new way to communicate.
