The
Sabor Salou food festival will open this Friday, May 22, at 7:30 p.m. on the Jaume I Promenade, featuring a unique charity initiative: a
20-meter-long tiramisu, which organizers claim will be the longest in the world.
The tiramisu will be made with hazelnuts and ratafia. It is the brainchild of
chef Edu Cuesta, created in collaboration with the Salou
Associació d'Empresaris d'HOostaleria de Salou (AEH) and several local chefs.
More than 2,000 portions of this spectacular tiramisu are expected to be distributed a
t a symbolic price of 1 euro per serving. All proceeds will go to local charities: the Salou
Red Cross, Caritas, and Eluzai.
In addition to the charity tiramisu, the
Sabor Salou fair will feature a highly diverse culinary selection, including options like tapas, rice dishes, gourmet burgers, seafood, international cuisine, artisanal sweets, wines, cava, beers, and local products.
The event's lineup is completed by a varied program of culinary workshops, wine and beer tastings, pairings, live cooking shows, and gastronomic demonstrations aimed at both adults and children.
