Gastrotour Salou 2018 kicks off on Friday May 18 with 64 participants

Salou. Costa Dorada. 15 May 2018. The seventh edition of the gastronomic route Gastrotour Salou 2018 will be launched on Friday, May 18. The Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados and the Councilor for Promotion and Economic Promotion, Commerce, Market and Consumption, Martina Fourrier, were in charge of presenting the gastronomic activity at the venue of the restaurant that won the cover of the last edition. It is a municipal initiative that stands out for the great variety and quality of tastings offered by the local fabric. Remember that this route through the municipality of Salou is sponsored by San Miguel, and has the collaboration of the Association of Merchants and Businessmen of Salou.

This year, the official dates of Gastrotour will be from May 18, when the kick-off to the seventh edition of this route of tapas by the municipality, with 64 restorers, is given until May 27 when it finishes. For this edition, all the information will be edited again in 4 languages ​​(Catalan, Spanish, English and French) seeking to attract customers and consolidate the existing routes, enhancing the gastronomy of the municipality.
The little ones can also enjoy the experience with the babyTour route, dedicated exclusively to children tasting; to allow family tours and adapt the tapas to all palates.
Sweet, salty tastings, for small and large ... and especially a variety of dishes that will be served with a 'fifth' of Cerveza San Miguel will be found in different catering establishments of the municipality for only 2.50 euros. The restaurateurs will try to overcome the tastings of last year, where they served up to 100,000 tastings.
Mayor Granados, wanted to thank the great involvement of the different restaurateurs and congratulate them for tasting Salou flavors that will take place during these days. For Councilor for Promotion and Economic Revitalization, Trade, Markets and Consumption, Martina Fourrier, "this seventh edition of the Gastrotour is one of the most participatory and we hope to overcome the tastings of last year". It is an event to be enjoyed as a family where many prizes will be distributed. Fourrier, wanted to thank the great involvement and trust both of San Miguel, and the restaurateurs themselves of the municipality since without them this gastronomic contest would not be possible.

In this edition the logo has been maintained, as well as the format in the booklet to consolidate and reinforce the "salou food experience" brand.
As for the awards, this year all those people who do 10 tastings can fill out the form behind the program, vote for the best cover, the most original cover, and the best service, and deposit it in the ballot boxes distributed in each of the participating establishments and will enter the raffle of different prizes.
One more year, the Association of Merchants and businessmen of Salou has wanted to collaborate with the Gastrotour offering the shopping tour that consists of the customers of the associated establishments will give them a bag prior purchase.
