Salou commissioned a study to end the water down the ravine at Ponent beach

Salou. Costa Dorada. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados met the 12 September 2011 with several councilors, that of Tourism, Benedict Dams, the Public Health and Environmental Quality, Ramon Pascual and the Councillor for Beaches, Julia Gomez to follow up on the beach of Ponent. He also met with several municipal areas of engineering and public way to get a start and find the ultimate solution to the specific avenues of diluted water coming down the ravine. Note that, this Sunday 11 September, after a street was decided to limit water bath at 200-100 feet on each side of the gully-, a situation which was completely normalized at 13,30 h. The mayor, with technicians and politicians wanted to evaluate possible alternatives for the future to minimize the impact on the beach in the municipality. Thus, a possibility that the work will study the feasibility of shipping basins to channel the output from the Reus plant to another watershed that directly affect a beach and tourist area. Apart from this solution also work in two directions more technically, on the one hand, the channeling of water from the sewage outfall in Reus directly in front of the coast and on the other in building a tank for collecting the raw water. Both proposals would not be definitive but it would mean a very significant improvement of the current situation.
