Reus. Costa Dorada. On 15 October 2011, the Turkish city of Mersin, the International Committee of Mediterranean Games, proclaimed the bid submitted by Tarragona in 2017 as a winner and head of the organization of these games. Reus, a town attached to this application will be certainly a dominant role in this project, the various infrastructures of the city, the sports facilities and sporting tradition, the experience and knowledge of athletes, coaches and sports organizations surely contribute to the final design of the project and work to achieve success in these games. To this end, the Council welcomes the nomination of Reus in Tarragona in 2017 for the success and reiterates the commitment of the city of Reus, as the site of the Mediterranean Games in the project and realization of the Mediterranean Games 2017.
