Salou City Council works to protect beaches from climate change
Salou City Council works to implement a protection plan for the 10 beaches and coves of its natural heritage, to preserve them from the effects of climate change. A study of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia is the basis of this action.

The City of Salou has approved a budget of 49.3 million euros by 2020, which means almost 5 percent more than in 2019. This figure includes the budget of the Tourist Board (2.3 million euros) and the Consortium Recreatiu i Turístic (2.4 million euros). But especially the investment item, which with 6 million euros rises 3.4 percent more than this year.

Salou festival 2019: 30 years of segregation
The biggest festival that Salou celebrates each year in October has a special significance for this year because 30 years ago the segregation of Salou and its constitution in an independent municipality of Vila-seca.
