A grand inaugural gala of Salou Capital of Catalan Culture 2025
A grand gala at the Teatre Auditori de Salou (TAS), in front of around 500 people, was the starting point for Salou Capital of Catalan Culture 2025, a designation that will allow the municipality to assert itself as the great capital of culture in capital letters of Catalonia for twelve months, beyond being the capital of tourism and holidays in the country.

The journalist and presenter of TV3's Telenotícies weekend, Ramon Pellicer, will be in charge of presenting the grand opening gala that Salou City Council is preparing to officially start the events of Salou Capital of Catalan Culture 2025. The programme of activities for the entire year will be announced on 27 February.
Salou proposes a parade in June to the associations of the Cos Blanc
The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has proposed the celebration of an inclusive parade, for diversity, equality and coexistence to the 28 associations that participate in the Cos Blanc. This show-stopping parade would take place at the end of June and wants to especially involve the citizens of Salou in a festive day to also enjoy with the family.
The Squid Festival, a tradition that breaks records
One of the most genuine traditions of Salou, which connects the municipality with its seafaring past, is undoubtedly the Squid Festival, which has been organised every year, for 49 editions, by the Salou Yacht Club. In addition, the 2024 Squid Festival has broken all records with the capture of 731 squid and a total weight of 153,586 kg of cephalopods.
