Salou City Council has suspended the events scheduled for tonight, including the procession and fireworks, due to the red alert issued under the INUNCAT emergency plan for the risk of heavy rainfall.
To mark this astronomical event, Salou Town Council and the Salou Municipal Tourist Board have organised a wide-ranging programme of educational and leisure activities for all ages in the days leading up to the eclipse.
