Salou adds a new area to the municipality's network of natural spaces: the Duna Gran Forest and the Pla del Maset. The municipal swimming pool of Salou has released an advanced system of intelligent sensors that allows to monitor in real time the activity of the swimmers, reinforce the safety and the experience of the users, and make a more efficient management of the equipment. With this technology, Salou is the first municipality in Catalonia that integrates its pool in the Spanish Network of Connected Smart Swimming Pools (EPIC).

First “Bank for Europe” to promote European values among young people
The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has inaugurated in the Espigó del Moll the "Banc per Europa", a bank that has been painted with the colors of the flag of the European Union. The bank is the symbol of the entry of the municipality into the network of cities that actively defend European values, especially among young people. It is the first "Bank for Europe" opened in the province of Tarragona and the third in Catalonia.
