Salou has done it again and has closed 2025 with record figures that consolidate the municipality as the leading destination of the Costa Dorada and one of the most important in Catalonia and Spain. Specifically, more than 2.4 million visits chose Salou for their holidays in 2025, 4.78% more than in 2024, and more than 8.6 million overnight stays were recorded, 4.21% more than the previous year.

Salou Sport brand, launched by the Salou Municipal Tourism Board, has been established to consolidate the municipality as the leading sports destination in the Mediterranean. Salou has the first smart pool in Catalonia of the EPIC network
The municipal swimming pool of Salou has released an advanced system of intelligent sensors that allows to monitor in real time the activity of the swimmers, reinforce the safety and the experience of the users, and make a more efficient management of the equipment. With this technology, Salou is the first municipality in Catalonia that integrates its pool in the Spanish Network of Connected Smart Swimming Pools (EPIC).
