Salou already has a canine unit to strengthen Local Police patrols
The proximity patrol of the Local Police of Salou will count from today with a new "member", a trained dog that opens the Canine Unit of the municipality. The task of this unit will be to complement the work of the agents in front of incitement attitudes, support in the detection of drugs and to carry out awareness actions in the educational centers of Salou.
Satisfaction in the sector for the increase of 2% of overnight stays on the Costa Daurada during 2018
The tourist balance of the first half of 2018 on the Costa Daurada has been positive, as the sector has experienced a two per cent increase in the number of overnight stays. The figures affect especially the municipalities of Cambrils, Salou and the nucleus of La Pineda, belonging to Vila-seca.
Marine itineraries, the new way of tourism in Salou
Salou wants to take advantage of the attractiveness of its marine ecosystem by means of an activity, a prioress on the Costa Dorada, which consists of swimming along signed marine itineraries. A team of specialized monitors will lead those who want to do this activity, which will be free. The aim is to disseminate the Vias Bravas, marine routes marked for swimming and diving. It is a project supported by the Tourist Board of Salou that aims to promote sport at sea.
