El alcalde de Salou, Pere Granados, ha hecho público un mensaje en vídeo en que expone las grandes líneas de actuación del gobierno local ante la crisis sanitaria del COVID-19 y apela a la responsabilidad de la ciudadanía para contener la expansión de la epidemia.

Marc Espasa, nuevo gerente del Patronato de Turismo de Salou
Marc Espasa es el nuevo gerente del Patronato de Turismo de Salou. Es licenciado en Publicidad y Relaciones Públicas y profesor de la Facultad de Turismo de la URV. Además, había sido adjunto de la Fundació Miró y durante 8 años había trabajado en el Ayuntamiento de Salou. El alcalde y presidente del Patronato de Turismo lo ha presentado con todo el equipo técnico de Turismo.
Salou prepara las playas para el inicio de la temporada turística
Salou ya está trabajando para dejar a punto las playas de cara al inicio de la temporada turística, que es en Semana Santa. Concretamente se trasladan 15.000 metros cúbicos de arena fina de las playas de Ponent y Llevant hasta la playa Llarga, la cala Llenguadets y la playa Capellans, para reparar los daños del último temporal.

Nueva línea de tren para llegar a Salou-PortAventura
Una nueva línea de cercanías es la que conecta desde el 13 de enero de 2020 a Salou con Barcelona por tren. Se trata de la R17. Además deja de ser operativa la estación que había hasta ahora y se traslada a la estación de PortAventura, en la avenida Joan Fuster. Un servicio de autobús lanzadora conectará la nueva estación con la anterior.
Artistas de Salou exponen en la Torre Vella hasta el 2 de marzo de 2020
Como cada año la Torre Vella de Salou estrena el calendario de exposiciones anual con la muestra de obras de artistas locales de la capital de la Costa Dorada. En esta 19 edición son 17 los artistas que exponen un total de 33 obras de diferentes estilos, técnicas y temáticas.
