Salou has the first smart pool in Catalonia of the EPIC network
The municipal swimming pool of Salou has released an advanced system of intelligent sensors that allows to monitor in real time the activity of the swimmers, reinforce the safety and the experience of the users, and make a more efficient management of the equipment. With this technology, Salou is the first municipality in Catalonia that integrates its pool in the Spanish Network of Connected Smart Swimming Pools (EPIC).
On 17 and 18 July 2026, the Festiuet arrives

Salou, permanent center of the Antonio Bonet Castellana Architecture Classroom
In 1962, in full development of tourism in Salou, the renowned Barcelona architect Antonio Bonet Castellana built the hotel Cala Vinya, in Cap Salou. In 2025, and after 20 years closed, the SunClub company has recovered it and installed an architecture classroom open to the public to disseminate the figure and work of one of the most influential architects of the 20th century.

From May 23 to 25, 2025, Passeig Jaume I hosts the best gastronomic fair on the Costa Daurada, Sabor Salou. With more than 40 participating establishments, more than 40,000 people are expected and the distribution of 50,000 tastings of high-quality local products, in addition to gastronomic workshops, tastings and other activities completely free.

Cristina Lagé, general director of Tourism of the Generalitat de Catalunya, is in charge of inaugurating this Friday, May 23rd, the 13th edition of the Sabor Salou gastronomic fair.
