The municipality of Salou is reinforcing the surveillance of its streets to enhance public safety. As part of the "Salou, Safe City" plan, four new CCTV cameras will be installed, enabling the Local Police and other law enforcement agencies to help prevent crime and improve the protection of public spaces.

Salou Sport brand, launched by the Salou Municipal Tourism Board, has been established to consolidate the municipality as the leading sports destination in the Mediterranean. On 17 and 18 July 2026, the Festiuet arrives
After the success of last year, with 31,000 attendees, Salou returns to host the Festiuet on July 17 and 18, 2026, a music festival with the most successful groups of Catalan music and spanish pop in recent years such as La Gossa Sorda, Leire Martinez, La Fúmiga, Figa Flawas, The Tyets, Ginestà, Els Pets, Buhos or Lax'n'Bust, among others.
Christmas lights in Salou
Salou has switched on its Christmas lights and unveiled a new Christmas tree, which has a more natural appearance than in previous years and is taller, reaching 12 meters in height. Additionally, the City Council has extended the Christmas lighting throughout the entire municipality and reinforced it in the main commercial hub of the Costa Dorada capital.

A total of 12 restaurants in Salou participate in a new edition of the Squid Gastronomic Days, entitled "From the sea to the table". The days are held until December 14, 2025, and are part of the 50th anniversary of the Squid Festival.

The Municipal Tourism Board renews the Q certification for tourist quality
The two offices of the Salou Municipal Tourism Board have renewed this 2025, and for the third consecutive year, the "Q" certification of Tourism Quality awarded by the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality (ICTES). This rating verifies compliance with the international quality standard UNE-ISO 14785:2015 and coincides with the user satisfaction survey, which values the attention received at 9.22 out of 10.
Salouween, or how to enjoy the best Halloween on the Costa Daurada

Next Generation to live well in Salou all year round and during the holidays
In Salou you live well but you will still live better because the City of Salou has received 11 million euros, from the Next Generation Funds, to make a more sustainable and resilient municipality from the environmental, economic and social point of view. The projects for 2021 are already executed in 90% and those for 2023, in 45%.
