The people, protagonists of the investment plan of Salou 2019-2023
Salou City Council has developed the municipal investment plan for the entire 2019-2023 term. It exceeds 27 million euros and focuses especially on equipment and improvements in urban spaces for “the enjoyment of citizenship”, as explained by Mayor Pere Granados.

The number of overnight stays in establishments in Salou during this year 2018 already accounts for 7,803,648, a figure that has been reduced by 0.6%, comparing the figures with the same period last year. Spaniards, English, French, Russians and Irish are the ones who visit the capital of the Costa Dorada the most, where the promotion of a sun, beach and family destination within Catalonia is emphasized. Regarding the number of overnight stays that were carried out in 2016, the decrease is more than 6%, since 2016 was a record year in tourism.
Children with serious illnesses will enjoy a free villa in PortAventura
The PortAventura Foundation will launch a solidarity project aimed at helping families with a child affected by a serious illness to enjoy their own space in the park, free of charge. This space, which the foundation describes as a village, will be called PortAventura Dreams. The project will consolidate the commitment of the foundation, which has entertainment and fun as the axis of its social action, with the improvement of the lives of children at risk of exclusion due to disability or health reasons.
Investment of 3.2 million euros to improve streets and public spaces
L'Ajuntament de Salou realitzarà una important inversió, de fins a 3,2 milions d'euros, destinada a la millora dels carrers i espais públics. Per a això, s'ha dividit el municipi en set zones d'actuació, on es destinaran 2 ME i a partir de gener es destinaran 1,1 ME a la millora dels carrers del Terrer, Louis Braille i la zona del carrer Burguera. A més, s'ha tret a licitació el projecte de l'avinguda Carles Buigas, on es destinaran altres 3 ME.

Salou volverá a estar de fiesta esta próxima semana, cuando se celebra la Fiesta Mayor del 30 de octubre, aunque los actos comienzan ya el sábado 20. Uno de los actos más simbólicos de la fiesta es el Pregón, que este año irá a cargo de Josep Abelló Padró, exalcalde de Reus y que ocupó este cargo de 1985 a 1999. Dentro de las celebraciones, también destacan el 15 aniversario del Baile de Bastones. Esta efeméride servirá también para presentar el vestuario de noche-gala del grupo, además de otras actividades.

The Salouenses who have a parking card can recharge the balance as of next Monday, October 1. That day, the new winter parking schedule starts in the blue zone; which significantly reduces the parking points of payment with respect to the summer.
"Pedagogy" campaign on the cost of cleaning dog poop in the municipality

Salou already has a canine unit to strengthen Local Police patrols
The proximity patrol of the Local Police of Salou will count from today with a new "member", a trained dog that opens the Canine Unit of the municipality.
