Miss RNB España 2027 is chosen in Salou
This Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:00 PM, the TAS (Auditorium Theatre in Salou) will host the final gala of the Miss RNB Spain 2027 pageant. The event will be streamed live on YouTube. Notably, one of the contestants, 18-year-old Chloe Vaquerizo (Miss RNB Tarragona), is a Salou local.
Tourist train of Salou
One of the tourist attractions in Salou is the 'trenet' or tourist train, a train that transits through the main attractions of the capital of the Costa Dorada.
The tourist train offers one route in winter only in the morning and, in summer, two routes with different stops that allow to enjoy the coastal landscape of Salou and to discover the buildings and the most emblematic places of the municipality. Prices and schedule here.

Salou, leader in 2025 with 2.4 million visitors and 8.6 million overnight stays
Salou has done it again and has closed 2025 with record figures that consolidate the municipality as the leading destination of the Costa Dorada and one of the most important in Catalonia and Spain. Specifically, more than 2.4 million visits chose Salou for their holidays in 2025, 4.78% more than in 2024, and more than 8.6 million overnight stays were recorded, 4.21% more than the previous year.
The ancient history of Salou, new tourist product
Very close to Easter, the City of Salou has presented "

", the new tourist product that affects the millenary history of the capital of the Costa Dorada. The project will soon be completed with the future Neolithic Route, which is already being developed, to point out loud and clear that Salou is much more than a sun and beach destination.
Festa al Cel: Grand Air Show on September from 18 to 20, 2026
From 18 to 20 September 2026 Salou will host the second edition that hosts the capital of the Costa Dorada of the "Festa al Cel", the largest air show in Spain, which was already a great success of public last year. In the 2026 edition, the exhibitions will be extended after sunset.
Salou discovers its Modernista and Noucentista Route
A total of 14 buildings and constructions are included in the recently inaugurated Modernista and Noucentista Route of Salou, one more step of the municipality to highlight its rich architectural heritage of the early 20th century. Chalets, a water tank, a hotel and an apartment building are part of a guided tour that completes the tourist offer of the capital of the Costa Dorada.
Salou Sport: the New Benchmark for Sports Tourism in the Mediterranean

Salou Sport brand, launched by the Salou Municipal Tourism Board, has been established to consolidate the municipality as the leading sports destination in the Mediterranean. This strategic positioning is built upon three pillars: elite infrastructure, a privileged climate, and an extensive calendar featuring more than 200 annual sporting events. The objective: to deseasonalize tourism and promote sustainable economic activity 365 days a year.
On 17 and 18 July 2026, the Festiuet arrives

Salou commemorates the 60th anniversary of the monument to Jaume I
This year 2025 it is 60 years since the monument to Jaume I was inaugurated, a sculptural ensemble 12 meters long and 20 meters high, located on the promenade of the same name and symbol of Salou. El Patronat Municipal de Turisme renova la certificació Q de qualitat turística
Les dues oficines del Patronat Municipal de Turisme de Salou han renovat aquest 2025, i per tercer any consecutiu, la certificació “Q” de Qualitat Turística que atorga l’Institut per a la Qualitat Turística Espanyola (ICTES). Aquesta qualificació verifica el compliment de la norma internacional de qualitat UNE-ISO 14785:2015 i coincideix amb l'enquesta de satisfacció dels usuaris, que valora en 9,22 sobre 10 l'atenció rebuda.
