Salou has the first smart pool in Catalonia of the EPIC network
The municipal swimming pool of Salou has released an advanced system of intelligent sensors that allows to monitor in real time the activity of the swimmers, reinforce the safety and the experience of the users, and make a more efficient management of the equipment. With this technology, Salou is the first municipality in Catalonia that integrates its pool in the Spanish Network of Connected Smart Swimming Pools (EPIC).
Salou commemorates the 60th anniversary of the monument to Jaume I
This year 2025 it is 60 years since the monument to Jaume I was inaugurated, a sculptural ensemble 12 meters long and 20 meters high, located on the promenade of the same name and symbol of Salou. To commemorate this date and the importance of this work for the capital of the Costa Dorada, the City of Salou has prepared several events.
Secure trade for Christmas

From 7 to 9 November, Salou Savi Wine Fair
On November 7, 8 and 9, 2025, Salou will host the first edition of Savi, the Wine Fair that wants to turn the capital of the Costa Dorada into the epicenter of the wine and gastronomic culture of the territory. The participation of wineries of the 7 designations of origin of wine in the territory as well as other wine regions and also abroad has been announced.
Called the Sustainable Tourism Awards aimed at young people in Salou
Coinciding with World Tourism Day, which is September 27, the City Council has announced the call for the Sustainable Tourism Awards of Salou, which is aimed at young people registered in the municipality who are students of 3rd and 4th ESO, Baccalaureate or training cycles.
Festa al Cel: more than 20 aerial exhibitions and show with 300 drones and pyrotechnics
The weekend from 19 to 21 September 2025 is expected intense in Salou with the Festa al Cel, a unique and free proposal, with 20 aerial exhibitions and a great show with more than 300 drones, illuminated flights, aerial choreographies, music and synchronized pyrotechnics.
Next Generation to live well in Salou all year round and during the holidays
In Salou you live well but you will still live better because the City of Salou has received 11 million euros, from the Next Generation Funds, to make a more sustainable and resilient municipality from the environmental, economic and social point of view. The projects for 2021 are already executed in 90% and those for 2023, in 45%.
It arrives Festa al Cel: the biggest show ever seen on the Costa Dorada
Salou is preparing to host the most important large-format show on the Costa Dorada: the
Festa al C
el, which will take place on the weekend of 19, 20 and 21 September 2025. The participation of 20 civil and military air teams and formations is confirmed, and the attendance of more than 200,000 people is expected, who will be able to enjoy, free of charge, a unique air show in Spain with acrobatic patrols, combat aircraft, helicopters and historical aircraft from all over Europe.
GastroArt&Wine, the proposal that unites Salou with gastronomy, art and wine
The City Council of Salou and the Association of Hospitality of Salou (AEH) have organized the GastroArt&Wine experience, a proposal that combines the best gastronomy of Salou, with art, music and culture, and with the best wines, vermouths and cavas in the territory. Salou empieza a ejercer como Capital de la Cultura Catalana 2025
Este 26 de enero de 2025, Salou ha empezado a ejercer oficialmente como Capital de la Cultura Catalana 2025, después de recibir el relevo de Sabadell, que ha ostentado el título durante 2024. A partir de este momento, Salou es el referente cultural de Catalunya y tiene por delante 12 meses para reforzar su papel cultural en diversos ámbitos como el patrimonial, el histórico, el de cultura popular y tradicional, y en las diferentes expresiones artísticas.
Salou ilumina un árbol de Navidad de ganchillo
Salou se ha sumado esta Navidad a la moda del ganchillo y ha estrenado un árbol navideño confeccionado con 300 cuadros de colores que recubren una estructura de hierro de 3,20 metros de altura. La iniciativa ha sido posible gracias a la asociación Grup de Dones de Salou, que ha contado con la colaboración del Ayuntamiento y de diversos comerciantes de la zona.
