The forecast of occupancy for hotel establishments in Salou for the Christmas season are encouraging. If an occupation of 65 percent is expected by Christmas, at the end of the year they expect to reach 85%. Some places expect to hang the “No vacancy” for New Year’s Eve. Eduard Farriol, president of the Federation of Hotel Businessmen (FEHT), made this forecast calculating the average occupation of the sector: "from December 24 until the day of “Kings”. We expect a 75 percent in the municipalities of the central Costa Dorada -Salou, Cambrils, Vila-seca and La Pineda.”

The Salou Local Police will increase its presence in the commercial establishments of Salou during the Christmas campaign. This measure tries to protect traders, at the same time as advising them and informing them about how to act in case of a criminal act.
